THROUGH SNAPSHOTS
IN A MOMENT OF A CRISIS
A crisis is a moment in time where things might feel difficult or challenging. Something we can all relate to and usually try to avoid. In this project I explored the concept of a crisis, capturing a specific moment within a crisis where beauty emerges within a deconstructed landscape.
The spatial intervention is an aesthetic play of chaos and instability controlled by a tight composition. The firm grid acts as a skeleton and is ruled by a sense of harmony and structure. It guides the viewer in this landscape of destruction. The gray background is a negative space to counterbalance the deconstructive elements. Beyond the burning ruins, an interplay of light and shadow is brought to life in the uncontrolled environment. Looking through fragmented openings in the panels, the viewer sees a disrupted view of the world, trying to connect with the other side. It is a snapshot of a moment in time where instability meets structure.
